Every July, the Boat Club gathers to celebrate our independence with brats, beer, barbecue and shrimp!

Members bring their homemade salads and desserts to complement a menu that includes shrimp, pork BBQ, chicken, burgers and brats. Join us this year for a family-friendly event, where kids under 10 are free! Volunteers are always needed and get a discount!

Check in starts at 11:45 and members drop off their salads at the buffet table or desserts in the pavilion. Feel free to grab a drink and stake out your spot, whether under the trees, in the sunshine overlooking the sound or inside so you're closer to the food. Some members bring tents and chairs for extra shade. There's beer, sodas and waters in coolers outside the pavilion, and boxes of wine inside by the desserts.

At noon the commodore calls us all to order for the Pledge of Allegiance and a moment of silence. After any announcements, the cannon fires to declare the food lines open. Yes we have a cannon! It's always fun to see what salads people have brought, along with the burgers, brats and plenty of shrimp. But don't fill up yet, because there's a huge spread of homemade desserts when you're done. Sit back and relax or walk around and visit with your neighbors. It's another successful summer shrimp fest!

Volunteers are needed!

You can sign up to volunteer right on the registration form. Volunteers receive a $10 credit on their fee! More information is below on volunteer duties.
