Marinas

The SSCA owns three marinas that are available for use by our members. The main marina is known as the North Marina, and the boat ramp is accessed from 177 S Dogwood Trail. There is a paved loop near the boat ramp and the upper parking area is gravel. Included in the upper parking lot are dry slips that are available for annual lease. Parking in the upper lot while using the marina is only on the side closer to the water. The ramp is for SSCA members who have join the Boat Club, and you must have the SSCA Boat Club sticker on your car and trailer.

The North Marina has both dry slips and wet slips available for annual lease to our members. Some are accessed from the boat ramp side, and even more are accessed from the pavilion side. To get to the North Marina Pavilion, go back out to South Dogwood, turn onto Sassafras Drive and follow that to the right. There is more parking and a big grassy area around the pavilion. This is where we hold many SSCA and Boat Club events, and members can rent out the pavilion for their own private events for a very reasonable fee.

Nearby, the Loblolly Marina has about 200 feet of waterfront with more boat slips, plus kayak racks. This marina is nice and protected, but you do need to go under a bridge to get to the open water, so it's not ideal for sailboats. It's easy to get to Loblolly Marina from the North Marina by water, but it's a little roundabout by land. The address is 3 Loblolly Dr, which is accessed from Holly Trail.

Finally the South Marina is tucked away at 113 S Dogwood Trail, with more boat slips available for lease.

There is a waiting list for both wet and dry boat slips, as well as the kayak racks. You must be a member of the boat club and own a boat when you rent a slip.
