Free Pickleball Clinics for Beginners and Intermediate Players

The SSCA is offering free pickleball clinics to all Racquet Club members every Friday from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM.  Clinics will be led by Lynda Burek, who has played and taught pickleball at the Dare County Rec Center, Seascapes, and Duck Woods Country Club. Bring your own paddle. Balls will be provided.

Beginner Clinics

If you are new to pickleball, this is a great way to learn the game and meet fellow players in a relaxed, fun setting. You will receive instruction and drills in the basic rules and strategies of pickleball, including serving, dinking, volleying, and keeping score. With Lynda's help, you will become a confident player in no time! This free one-hour clinic will be held each month on the first and third Friday at 1:00 PM, with minimum of 3 and maximum of 6 participants. Reserve your slot on YourCourts by Wednesday. Please cancel your reservation by Thursday morning if you cannot make it.

Intermediate Clinics

Intermediate pickleball clinics will focus on improving a player's consistency, control, and placement on the court. Lynda will help you refine your basic strokes and strategies to elevate your overall gameplay. Drills will concentrate on improving footwork, volleys, third shot drops, dinks, and positioning on the court.  This free one-hour clinic will be held each month on the second and fourth Friday, with a minimum of 3 and maximum of 6 participants. Reserve your slot on YourCourts by Wednesday. Please cancel your reservation by Thursday morning if you cannot make it.
