Marilyn Morrison – Chief Soaring Eagle, Roanoke-Hatteras Indians of Dare County

Chief Marilyn Berry Morrison is a distinguished American Indian leader, genealogist, and cultural preservationist. As Chief, she is celebrated for her organizational skills, profound knowledge of tribal heritage, and lifelong commitment to preserving Native history.

What She will talk about:

This presentation will explore the enduring history, cultural heritage, and modern-day presence of the Roanoke-Hatteras people, highlighting their relationship with the waterways, their resilience through centuries of change, and their contributions to the story of the Outer Banks. She hopes to offer insights that will be both meaningful and thought-provoking to those who cherish our shared maritime traditions
